In my opinion a wardrobe is not complete if it doesn’t include a blazer. These days it can be worn with anything from a simple white tee, to a dressier silk blouse or a crisp white shirt for work. I prefer to have at least two different blazers. One simple black that can be worn with anything and one tuxedo version for a sexy night time look.
2.The white shirt.
My number two essential is a white shirt. Again I like to have at least two. One slightly over-sized mens shirt and one more feminine and fitted version, which looks super chic paired with high-waist skinnies or a pencil skirt.
3.The leather jacket.
I don’t know what I ever wore before I owned a leather jacket. Mine is old and really, really worn, but I love it. It has soul.
4.The white t-shirt.
A V-necked and slightly over-sized one works every time. If you have nothing to wear, wear a white t-shirt with jeans, black pumps and a blazer
I’m so happy these are back in style. I know they are classics but a few years ago I had the most difficult time finding the perfect one. I will always have a thing for stripes.
6.Blue skinny jeans. At the moment I prefer them ripped and a bit “worn”, but classic blue jeans that fit you well is a must.
7. A knitted-sweater.
Ok, I know some of you might be heading towards spring already, but where I live it’s knit season for months ahead. I love this super-soft angora knit in the picture above, made exclusively for me by my mom.
They work with everything, except the Norwegian winter. Keep a pair in your bag and wear inside.
Even if they’re not for everyone they’re an absolute must for me. Pair them with an over-sized knit for day time, or a silk blouse and statement heels for date night.
Just throw on something black and add heels. Really cool heeled booties can take an outfit from “meh” to “fab” in a second.
